A real estate closing is the final step in a property transaction where ownership formally transfers from the seller to the buyer. During the closing, all required documents are signed, funds are disbursed, and the deed is recorded. Georgia law requires a licensed attorney to oversee this process.
For all funding and disbursement inquiries, please call our office directly at (770) 676-6969. The Contact Us form on this site is specifically for reaching our Closing Attorneys.
You can reach our Closing Attorneys by using the Contact Us form on this website, or by emailing us directly at closings@wfairlaw.com. We look forward to hearing from you.
Typically you'll need a valid government-issued photo ID, a cashier's check or wire transfer for any funds due at closing, proof of homeowner's insurance, and any additional documents requested by your lender or attorney. Our team will provide you with a specific checklist prior to your closing date.
A typical real estate closing takes between one and two hours, depending on the complexity of the transaction and the number of parties involved. Our team works efficiently to keep the process as smooth and timely as possible.
